planning a big bake for a wedding, probably gonna need a ton of chocolate chips. Any info on how their bulk discounts work? And can I combine that with a first-time customer coupon?

B Barbara Nguyen 2 weeks ago
They definitely do bulk discounts, especially for professional bakers. You usually can't stack the first-time coupon with those tiered bulk prices though, afaik. It's usually one or the other.

Yeah, I tried to do that last year. The system just picks the best discount for you, so it'll either give you the bulk rate or the coupon, not both. Still good savings overall though if you're buying a lot.

Hey, thinking about grabbing some of their couverture chocolate for baking, is it worth the hype compared to say, Valrhona or Callebaut? Price point seems good but wanna make sure it's not a huge step down in quality.

I've used their dark couverture a bunch, totally holds up to Callebaut for my purposes. Maybe not *exactly* Valrhona, but for the price, it's a solid choice. Melts super smooth.

Honestly, I think it depends on what you're making. For everyday baking, it's great. If you're doing something super delicate like showpiece work, you might notice a slight difference, but for most things, it's really good quality and ethically sourced too, which is a plus.
